The fonds consists of records relating to the Shields family. The records include Nora Shields’ personal and financial papers, the Shields family tree, early and later photographs from the Shields’ as well as the Dionne family, Jack Shields’ military papers and photographs from his experience as a soldier before and during the Korean War, and some military publications that he collected.

The records have been arranged by the Archivists by content and chronology into the various series and files. The Archivists imposed the order now shown by the records.

Includes extensive photographs of Toole, Jukes, and Sanders families.

The fonds consists of photographs, postcards, and a publication from United Grain Growers. Of the 327 photographs, 110 portray surveying in the Peace Country from 1909 to 1911, 5 picture life on the Tuffill homestead, and the remaining 212 are of Mr. Tuffill’s service in WWI and family and photographs from England. The fonds consists of a calendar of pictographs, recording significant annual events for the North Peigan Nation of the Blackfoot Confederacy, from 1764 to 1910. The winter count was compiled ca. 1910 by Bull Plume (and annotated by Anglican missionary W.R. Haynes), and records battles and deaths, the arrival of diseases like smallpox and measles, the disappearance of the buffalo, the signing of Treaty 7, and the death of Queen Victoria. The volume also lists the leaders of the Blackfoot, and includes drawings of material culture items. The fonds also consists of one page of Blackfoot syllabics with English translation; an article about Bull Plume written by Moses B. Cotsworth (1939); photographs of the Arthur family, Fort Macleod, Alberta and region, and Peigan Indian Agency at Brocket. Includes the school and military records of Clive Arthur.

The fonds consists of 29 photographs and one certificate. The photographs include 4 military photos of platoons and regiments from Grande Prairie during World War II, 20 photos of nurses who worked at the Grande Prairie Municipal Hospital, and 3 of nurses on a bowling team. There are also two early family photos from the Boyd and Cooke families: one of the wedding of Jen Boyd and blacksmith Bob Barley ca. 1900, and the other of a group at the Boyd sawmill in 1945.
