William P. Burroughs jioned the Navy, H.M.C.S. NONSUCH in Edmonton in 1942. He was sent to Vancouver Island on the H.M.C.S. ESQUIMALT. He spent 6 months on Kinihan Island, 20 miles off Prince Rupert. In august, 1943 he was sent to NADEN 1 in Halifax, then to NADEN 2, in St. John's, Newfoundland. He served aboard H.M.C.S. LOCKPORT and H.M.C.S. GEISBOROUGH. He remained in Newfoundland until after V.E. day.
William Adair in uniform walking along a city street and accompanied by a woman. Mr. Adair was the first teacher in Teepee Creek in the school that was on the quarter section east of the United Church.
Wilfred Derocher, age 18, was tragically killed in a forest fire in the Bad Heart district, May 4, 1944. He had made a valiant attempt to save his friend by lying on top of him but they both perished.

Webster Trail School after it was moved to Bill Kirkham's to be used as a garage in 1955. It was demolished ca. 2000.
Webster Store and Post Office was operated by the Hancharuk family. In the back was the family living quarters, and often the teacher for Torun School boarded at the Hancharuks. Beside the store was a storage shed.
Across the road from the Webster Store & Post Office was the Butcher Shop operated by the Wrosek family. By 1947, the Butcher shop had closed and it was being used as rented living quarters. Edna Kokosha, the supervisor at Torun School, lived in the back part of this building.
