Patterson to the Law Society of Alberta, 1914, a program for the visit of the Earl of Bessborough in 1933, newsclippings concerning the death of Judge Sissons and appointment of Donald as Assistant Chief Judge, 4 portraits, a Women's Institute album of photographs, and several scanned copies of family photos, and miscellaneous papers and letters.

Schenk family fonds

The fonds consists of 51 cm of textual records, 115 photographs, 1 artwork by Robert Guest, and 9 forestry related maps. It includes: a series of photographs related to Jack Mantle showing early Grande Prairie and includes two photographs featuring soldiers from WW2; a series of correspondence from F.W. Schenk and photographs showing scenes from the Northern Alberta Railway (NAR) and various train accidents; a series of photographs, maps, employment records and daily journals from Dave Schenk during his career working for NAR and Alberta Forest Service; and a series of employment records from Melba Schenk during her time working as a weather observer for Alberta Forest Service.

The fonds has been arranged into the following series: Jack Mantle (1911-1940); F.W. Schenk (1917-1964); Dave Schenk (1924-2005); and Melba Schenk (1973-1977)

The Plowing Match files contain printed materials, planning documents, financial records, newsclippings, photographs and slides. There is also one film of the first match in 1971.

The sous-fonds consists of the 1971 Development Appeal Board Hearing regarding the City Sewer Lagoon System (including four photographs and a sound recording); the County of Grande Prairie General Municipal Plan, the Joint General Municipal Plan for the City and County of Grande Prairie, and the 1991 County of Grande Prairie Census Report. There are also several maps showing the 1980 North Highway Structure Plan; Land Use Bylaw Districts in the County; and the Future Land Use Bylaw districts.

The sous-fonds consists of a financial statement from Pioneer Lodge (1955), Annual Reports for the County from 1956 to 1982, a collection of Alberta Gazettes, from 1953 to 1981, listing properties for tax sales in the County of Grande Prairie No. 1, a series of over-sized Debenture certificates issued in 1950 to 1951, and a 1979 Appraisal Report.

Grande Prairie School Division No. 14 fonds

The fonds consists of the minutes and accounts of the Grande Prairie School Division No. 14 from its inception in 1938 until its integration into the County; policy statements and attendance policies; financial statements; and correspondence between the School Division and teachers, trustees and the Department of education. It includes reports and correspondence of the school inspectors prior to the creation of the division. Common documentation in these files include letters regarding formation of school districts; land documents for the school site; letters and petitions from concerned parents regarding location, provision or instruction; census lists and class reports; applications and letters from teachers; Department of Education Inspector’s reports; orders for supplies and books; blueprints of schools, teacherages and barns; and building inspection reports. An unidentified barn blueprint and cost sheet is labeled general School Division Records (063.02). Also included in many of the files are photographs of the school buildings taken in the mid 1950s during the time of consolidation, when many of the buildings were being sold or left vacant. These are record shots, and the quality of the photographs is not consistent. As each school was sold, letters regarding the sale of the property were added to the file.
