The fonds consists of records relating to the activities of the Grande Prairie and District Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities, and its predecessor bodies. The records include correspondence, collected material on projects and events, photographs of Association people, programs, residences, and events, architectural plans for Barrydale Dorm, a copy of the 1976 20th Anniversary cookbook, audio and video interviews and written profiles for the 50th Anniversary website project, and newspaper clippings.

The fonds is arranged in five series based on record content: Executive, Programs, Special Projects, Staff, and Newspaper Clippings. Within the series, the records are arranged by topic, then chronologically.

The fonds consists of a minute book including by-laws,(1957-1958), a club history in loose 3-ring sheets (1957-1982), a hard cover blue scrapbook (1957-1962) containing photographs, newsclippings and the club newsletter"Kinette Korner", and an oversized photo/scrapbook (1961-1981).

The fonds consists of the by-laws, minutes, reports, membership lists, news clippings and newsletters from Chapter 16; articles on the history of the AARN in Alberta; publications from the AARN including Nursing Legislation, the 1989 Rainbow Report which detailed the provincial government’s vision for health care in the province, and a group of photographs illustrating the medical and nursing history of Grande Prairie.

The fonds consists of copies of Spirit of the Peace newsletters; written descriptions, photographs and pamphlets collected on three tours of the Peace Country sponsored by Spirit of the Peace in 1990-1991; oral history tapes made for the Treaty 8 display and kit in 1999; and publications promoting the museums and activities of the group.

The fonds consists of the records of the Board of Directors; Administrative planning documents, financial and personnel records, information on the physical plant, and subject and correspondence files; photographs and information on Collections’ artifacts, buildings, and displays; photographs and files of Programming and special events. Completing the collection are brochures and books published by the society, associated organizations; and photographs, scrapbooks and guest books from the Grande Prairie Museum.

This fonds contains records related to the activities of the Camp Tamarack Association, headquartered in Grande Prairie.

These records consist of three scanned to PDF copies of the 1979 – 2000 lease for NW 26-70-6-W6; 1979 – 2004 lease for N half 26-70-6-W6; and the original Tamarack Master Plan. Paper copies are available at the SPRA.

The fonds consists of four photographs and two documents. The photographs are of Jack Crerar in 1924 and Doug Crerar ca. 1940, Bear Creek Bridge ca. 1915, and a Winter Carnival ca. 1924. The documents are a program for the “First Annual Banquet of Grande Prairie Conservative Association at the Empire Hotel Monday, January 17, 1916”; and a program for the “Third Annual Peace River Musical Festival on May 25 and 26, 1927 at Grande Prairie Alberta.” There is also a legal sheet of paper containing a short history of the Alexander and Sarah Crerar family produced ca. 2000.

This collection contains five scrapbooks of news clippings about local people, sports, and history from the Grande Prairie area.

This fonds conists of newsletters written and edited by Patricia Schneider for the Volunteer Services Bureau. The newsletters include stories, poems, news, and upcoming volunteer opportunities.
