Couture family fonds

The fonds consists of Dora Doyle's school notebooks from Edmonton (Art, Biology, Composition) [ca. 1920s]; financial records and blueprint for the construction of the Doyle home in Jasper (1932); class plan books with descriptions of projects Dora gave to her classes in Jasper (1940s); a family history; a book of poetry by Dora; photographs of Philip Doyle (1914), a ski trip to the Bald Hills [ca. 1940s] and of Dora Doyle with Hazel Matheson, the first female principal in Jasper. Also included are personal diaries from the 1930s to the 1990s, newspaper clippings, offical documents related to her teaching as well as in her family life, a scrapbook with poems by Dora and others, short stories which she wrote, and various photographs, both loose and in albums. The fonds also consists of laser copies of old family photographs; photographs of her retirement; and vacation slides.

The fonds consists of correspondence and topical files (originals and copies), as well as blueprints, brochures, newspaper clippings, magazines and copies of articles relevant to Fred, the Brewster family, the Jasper area, the Jasper-Yellowhead Historical Society, skiing, trail riding, hunting and guiding and other subjects relevant to the history of Jasper. There are field and notebooks from university days and WWI as well as from various expeditions, pamphlets, photographs, maps and a number of books and artifacts. Also included in the fonds are photographs of the Brewster family and home; the Brewster stable and some of the cowboys and guests; and the Jasper rodeo.

The fonds consists of textual records accumulated by Albert Gillett during his employment with the Canadian National Railway (CNR); photographs and negatives of various aspects of the Gillett family and their life and activities in Jasper, local scenery, and friends; a scrapbook that contains obituaries, newspaper clippings, wedding announcements, and articles of personal interest to the Gillett family history, as well as humorous anecdotes; and correspondence with family friends. Abe Reimer fonds

The fonds consists of documents and photographs relevant to Abe Reimer and his family. Included is a series regarding Abe Reimer's guide and outfitting business and homestead in Tete Jaune, British Columbia (1930-1944). Contained in this series is correspondence with friends, family, various clients, taxidermy companies and supply companies. Also included are lumbering permits, hand drawn maps, war saving stamps, invoices and receipts for purchases, letterhead and stationary, newspaper and magazine articles, licenses, registrations and income tax forms. One file also contains information regarding Abe's Crown Land grants in the Tete Jaune area. Also in this fonds is correspondence received by Mary Thorsen from friends and family (1927-1933) and documents pertaining to Charles Milner family (1904-1950). The fonds also contains many photographs. Included is Zip Long's photo album (1916-1927), Abe Reimer's photo album [1910-1930] and several series' of photographs. Topics covered are agriculture, guiding and outfitting, backcountry travel; camp scenes, hunting, Milner Dairy, transportation, rodeos, quarries and logging. Many of the photographs also depict family and friends including: Abe Reimer and family members; Zip Long and her brothers Bert and Fabe; Mary (Thorsen) Reimer and brother Art Thorsen; Charlie Milner; the Randall family; Ray Scott; Bruce Otto; Ma and Pa Scott, Art Adams and others.
