The collection consists of a photograph of the 1903 charter for the Masonic White Horse Lodge No. 81. The original charter was 27 1/4 inches x 23 1/4 inches parchment enclosed in a glass frame with a wooden backing.

The fonds consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, correspondence and tape recordings documenting May Menzies and her family's life in the north. Ninety-four photographs (taken between 1928 and 1939) depict family scenes in the Yukon at Selwyn and Fort Selkirk, especially activities of the children, wood camps, neighbours along the river, sternwheelers and boats on the river, airplanes, dog teams, the flood at Selwyn, and scenes in Dawson City. There are also 11 original colour photographs taken by Bruce Batchelor in 1978 of May Menzies and her family, and of native beadwork that she collected while in the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Also included are copies of 4 letters written by May, to her mother and sisters in the 1930s, from Hay River and the Yukon; a newspaper clipping about her wedding; a list of wedding guests and presents; an article about the Chooutla (Carcross) Residential School; and a partnership agreement between Joe Menzies and Frieda Schwartz, 1946. There are also three 60-minute tape cassette recordings (ca. 1978): two are of Bruce Batchelor interviewing May Menzies, and the third is May Menzies being interviewed by her granddaughter (78/23). The second accession (2006/123) consists of 29 original b&w negatives and 14 matching prints depicting activities of the Menzies family at Fort Selkirk and Selwyn River. A panorama of Dawson City is also included.

The fonds consists of letters and documents arising from Mel Bakke's collection and design of coins. In one letter Bakke lists the medals he knew to have been struck in the Yukon; another is from the Yukon Centennial Committee. There are copies of Bakke's design and patent for the centennial coin he produced in 1967.

The fonds consists of photographs and slides taken by various members of the Mervyn and Wood families. The geographic areas represented in the photographs primarily include Whitehorse, Mayo, and Lansing, Yukon where most members of the Mervyn and Wood families lived. Dawson City, Carcross, Altin, B.C., and various other areas of the Yukon visited during hunting and trapping trips, and family vacations. Images of family members include: Jim Mervyn, Julia Mervyn St. Louis, Maggie Mervyn Wood and her siblings Norman "Dinky", Florence, Nora, Gordon, Carl, William "Kaiser", David "Dick", Jerry, Alice, and Alexander as young children and adults, Jim Wood, and children Doug and Bobby Wood. Other extended family and friends of the Mervyns and Woods that are depicted include Joe Andre, Andy Hooper, the Kimbels, Halls, and McCarters. Events photographed include Sourdough Rendezvous, parades, moving of the Queen's House and Klondike sternwheelers, the Winter Carnival of 1948, and Jim Mervyn's funeral in Ontario in 1957. Many of the photographs feature streets and buildings in Whitehorse and Dawson. There are also photographs relating to Jim Wood's work with the Army Signal Corps and Yukon Electrical Co. Ltd.

This fonds contains photographs of Meta Miller Turnbull's family in the ca. 1903-1930 era during their stay in Dawson City, Yukon. The collection contains early photographs of Gold Bottom, Hunker Creek, Bear Creek and Dawson City. A large number of the photographs are identified.

The fonds consists of photographs printed from slides that Michael Cleary took during the initial operations of the exploration done in the Anvil Range during the summer of 1953. There are views of the Canol Road, Ross River, the transport of supplies by pack horse and raft, the camp at Van Gorder Creek, and the first diamond drill set up at the site.

This fonds consists of photographs documenting the "Dawson Film Find" in Dawson City, Yukon. Rare cellulose nitrate films were discovered during the demolition of the former Dawson Amateur Athletic Association skating rink in 1978. Participants in the salvage work include: Kathy Jones (Gates) Director of the Dawson City Museum, Michael Gates, Curator of Collections, Klondike National Historic Sites, Sylvie Gibourd (Gammie), supervisor of the students working on the salvage project. The condition of the film, reels, and canister is shown along with the process of testing the cellulose-nitrate film and manually rewinding the film onto new reels.

The fonds consists of 213 photographs recording the construction of the Yukon Territorial Government complex on Second Avenue in Whitehorse from 1974-1976. The photographs are a detailed record of the interior and exterior structural form of the building as it takes shape - from the empty lot to the opening day celebrations. There is also a folder containing an opening day program with floor plans of the building and a descriptive list of the photographs. Another b&w photo and one colour photo, also taken by Michael Helm, depict the burning of the sternwheelers Casca and Whitehorse on June 20, 1974.

The fonds consists of copies of photographs from de Wynter's life in Whitehorse, 1945-1947, photographs of the handover of the Alaska Highway to Canada on April 3, 1946, and photocopies of newspaper articles relating to the handover.
