Simon and Almena Big Snake and children. Simon was the son of Mrs. White Headed Chief, who adopted Jane Richardson Hanks as a daughter, making Simon her brother. One of the boys is Charles Standing Behind the Door, who fought during World War two as Charles Door. Taken while the Hanks were conducting anthropological research on the reserve.<br><br>
