Image depicts the first St. Albert grotto which was erected as a replica of the Grotto of Lourdes in France. It was built in 1920 by the Oblate brothers studying at the Scholasticate Seminary in Edmonton. The statue of Our Lady and Ste. Bernadette were donated by the parents of some of the brothers. They also purchased a few sacks of limestone and cement that was poured on top of the pile so the stones would hold. Total cost was $80.00.<br><br>
