Portrait. Frederick Roberts was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Roberts who arrived in the Hillside district southwest of Millet in November 1899. The family had been in Edmonton since September. They lived in the first house built in Hillside at NE 10-47-25-W4 but returned to London, England in 1900. In 1901 they came back to Hillside and settled this time on SW 10-47-25-W4. They moved to Langley Prairie, B.C. in 1911. Fred was killed in action in France during World War I.<br><br>
