<p>James Frank Dolling Day was born on March 2, 1923 to James Butcher Day and Florence (Dolling) Day. He was raised at Millet, Alberta.<p>During World War II he joined the R.C.A.F. where he became a Leading Aircraft Man with 419 Sqdn. Manarski/Lancaster Bomber Division and served for 3 years in Canada and overseas. Upon completion of voluntary service he was transferred to Class E of the General Section of the Reserve.<p>Jim was awarded the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp 1939-1945.<p>After the war he lived at Millet for a short while and then in Edmonton until he retired in 1987. He passed away in 2004.</p><br><br>
