Studio portrait of Dr. Shillabeer wearing a hat. John Campbell Shillabeer, M.D. was born in Roslyn Ontario and received his medical training at Queen's University, graduating in 1909. He and his wife Charlotte (nee. Moore) moved to Wetaskiwin in 1926 where he took over for Dr. Robertson. In 1944 he retired to Vancouver. He returned to Wetaskiwin in 1960 where he lived until his passing on October 27, 1966 at the age of 83.<br><br>
