Visit of the Honorable James G. Gardiner, Federal Minister of Agriculture, to Wetaskiwin, Alberta. He was welcomed by Alderman Paul Moseson (standing far right) who acted as deputy mayor in the absence of Mayor Morley Merner. Also identified in the photograph are Bill Draayer (standing far left), W.H. Odell (standing second from left), Charles D. Enman (standing third from left), and Norman MacEachern (standing center). Mr. Gardener gave an address at the Elks Hall, where this photograph was taken, during his tour of Central Alberta.<br><br>
