General note

In 1987, Ron Harris began publishing the Edmonton Jewish Times & Record, a monthly newspaper designed to appeal to the Jewish community of Edmonton. The Edmonton Jewish Times & Record was published in a tabloid format, usually 12-16 pages in length, distributed free throughout the Jewish community of Edmonton, and financed by private advertising. Harris employed Debby Shoctor as editor and Devorah Patterson as graphic artist and utilised various members of the Edmonton community as guest columnists. The paper ceased functioning in 1991.
