General note

Consists of a diary kept by Second Lieutenant Cecil B. Whyte, formerly a sapper in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (1915-1916) and a subaltern in the Royal Scots (1916-1917), while training as an observer for the Royal Flying Corps and on active service in the 98th Squadron of the Royal Air Force in Flanders. Cecil was killed in combat on 3 May 1918. Portions of the volume are blank.
