Biographical history

The Jasper Home and School Association was formed in April, 1948. The Association had a mandate to promote the welfare of children and youths by encouraging the idea that education should be a joint, continuous effort between school and parents. The Association sponsored speakers, held open houses and receptions, career nights, discussions and debates. The first president was Mr Cable; Vice Presidents were M.L. Peterson and g.E. Prowse. Mr Dean Tweedle served on the executive of the Association for all 16 years of its existence. The Association folded in 1964 due to lack of response and interest.
