Biographical history

Joyce Densmore was born in Red Deer, Alberta to Roland (1889-1957) and Gladys (d. 1949) Densmore. In 1956 she married John Kaare, and the couple have two children Layna and Lisa. Mrs. Kaare taught at Mountview Elementary School in Red Deer in the 1970s. As a child, Joyce became acquainted with Kerry Wood and his family, and would often visit them. Her friendship with the Wood family developed, and, as an adult, the local paper would occasionally use her thoughts and comments for their write-ups on the popular local author. Joyce Kaare continues to live in Red Deer with her husband.
