Mr. Kelsey, formerly of Wellington, New Zealand, was superintendent of the Great Northern Oil & Asphalt Company. In 1914 they drilled an exploratory oil well on the House River, which flows into the Athabasca River south of the Grand Rapids. In Edmonton, AB on July 22, 1914 he married Myra Huxham Bailey, formerly of Newington, England. They had a least one child, Myra.
