Biographical history
Charles Henry Kopas and Katherine Caroline Reidt were married in Listowel, Onntario, and settled in Okotoks, Alberta around 1911. They had four children. Their son Clifford Kopas, 1911-1978, married Ruth Hall of Calgary. Clifford and Ruth had a son, Leslie Kopas, who co-authored Clifford's book "No Path But My Own" in 1996.
Custodial history
The collection was donated by Leslie Kopas to Erica Lane of Okotoks Public Library in 1997. Erica Lane donated it to the Okotoks and District Historical Society in 2000
Scope and content
The collection consists of a letter from Leslie Kopas accompanying a brochure from Anchor D Guiding & Outfitting Ltd. and news clippings on the history of the Turner Valley oilfield
