Biographical history
The Korea Veterans Association of Canada was founded in 1974 in Barrie, Ontario to provide an opportunity for comradeship among Korea veterans; to represent their special interests with government, other veteran organizations and the Korean government; and to maintain public awareness of Korea vets among Canadians and obtain recognition for them. Beginning in 1974 reunions were held in various locations and units started to form. The first Canadian unit was established in Calgary, Alberta in 1979, and by the late 1980s there were over sixty units across the country. National conventions are held biannually and regional or provincial reunions in off years.

The fonds consists of scrapbooks compiled in 1991 containing photographs, reminiscences, newsclippings, maps and honour rolls from the Korean War.
