Name of creator
Larry Roy Simmonds was born on January 7, 1938 to Myrtle and Robert Ray Simmonds. They made their home in Cadomin, Alberta. They had many relations who also lived in the Coal Branch. His uncle,Dick Craig, operated a sawmill in the Cadomin area, purchased the first truck and bulldozer and built the first hardware store in the "Branch".
Scope and content
The fonds consists of photographs of the flood of 1950 at Cadomin and images of family and friends.
Immediate source of acquisition
Roy Simmonds deposited the photographs in the Hinton Coal Branch Archives in 2007.
