Histoire administrative
The Canadian Girls in Training (C.G.I.T) was established in 1915 by the Young Women's Christian Association to promote he Christian education of girls aged 12-17. Their pledge was "As a Canadian Girl in Training, under the leadership of Jesus, it is my purpose to Cherish Health, Seek Truth, Know God, Serve Others, and thus become the girl God would have me be.";Mrs. Emma Sipe organized the Canadian Girls in Training (C.G.I.T) group in 1931 in the Demmitt area and it maintained an impressive membership of 10-14 teenage girls over the four years that records are available. During this time, church was held in the school with Rev. Moss as minister. The club met twice a month, sometimes in homes and sometimes in the Ray Lake School and their meetings included reciting the pledge, an address or devotional presentation by a leader or guest, hymn singing, fund raising project discussions, and ended with fun time and lunch. One of their first projects was raising money through making and raffling a quilt in order to obtain C.G.I.T. uniforms. Other regular events were conducting the Mothers' Day church service, including making red and white carnations to distribute to the mothers in the congregation, and a Mother and Daughter banquet held yearly.
