General note
Consists of the 1912 diary of Lina Beavers, an American immigrant to Calgary, Alberta, in which she describes setting up her new household, domestic activities, the Club Cafe (which was run by her husband Roy), and her active social life. Includes the 1913 Christmas menu for the Club Cafe (pages 70-71 below). The diary itself is a "Physician's Daily Memorandum" book, featuring descriptions of medical conditions and treatments at the top of each page.
