History
The Marquis Marketing Group was formed in April 1984, to promote and support Milo and area producers. The first 3 members were Cathy Nelson, Art Northcott, and McMorris Ranching Ltd, with Kelly Nelson serving as Secretary-Treasurer. Marquis Marketing Group offered courses, seminars and information sessions on a range of agricultural topics, including crop-specific farm tours, grain and cattle marketing strategies, diversification, and accounting software for farmers. Most of their programming was conducted under the umbrella of the Canada-Alberta Farm Business Management Initiative’s Rural Education and Development Association.
