Biographical history

Maurice Charles Sullivan was born circa (ca.) 1924. He worked in Edmonton, Alberta at various printing companies, including Jasper Printing Limited, Douglas Printing and Moore Printing Company Limited. Beginning in about 1973, Maurice began to work for the Provincial Museum of Alberta. He and wife Corinne had one daughter, Maurine. Maurice C. Sullivan died June 18, 1976.

Custodial history

Corinne T. Sullivan, Maurice C. Sullivan's wife, deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1978.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of Maurice C. Sullivan's research notes and correspondence about the Royal North West Mounted Police detachment at Sounding Lake. The purpose of his research seems to have been to have the site officially commemorated. The fonds also includes Maurice C. Sullivan's union cards for the Edmonton Typographical Union No. 604.
