The first one-room school in Millet, Alberta was built in 1901, but it was destroyed by fire in 1902. The second school was built that same year and was enlarged twice. The third Millet School, with four classrooms, was completed in 1930, and has had several additions built on. In 1980, an intermediate-junior high school, Griffiths-Scott School, was built on its grounds. From 1901 to 1955, the school was governed by Millet School District No. 555. Subsequently, it was part of Wetaskiwin School Division No. 36 (1955-1958); the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 (1958-1996); and the Wetaskiwin Regional School Division No. 11 (1996- ).
