Until 1980, the Office of Community Relations was known as University Resources. The Office of Community Relations is composed of Advancement Services, Alumni Affairs/Alumni Association, the Development Office (fund raising), and University Marketing and Communications.

Fonds consists of newsclippings (1990-1998), historical biographical files, unidentified Gazette photographs (1994-2000), an audio cassette of an interview with President Terry White, news releases, records of the Research Transition Facility, annual reports, and records from the offices of Rod Chapman (Director of Public Affairs), Anne McDiarmot (Director of Marketing), Susan Francis (Director of University Communications), Jacquelyn Nielson (Communications Officer), and Mo Keshavjee (Marketing Manager).
