Name of creator
During World War II, Paul Vergon was with Bechtel, Price and Callahan, contractors on the Canol Pipeline Project. In early 1943 Vergon was in Whitehorse, Yukon for two weeks and purchased these photographs from an unidentified employee, possibly William J. Preston.
The collection was originally sent to MacBride Museum by Paul Vergon. The museum gave the originals to Yukon Archives in exchange for some copies.
Scope and content
The collection consists of original photographs of Whitehorse, Yukon and the surrounding area, and equipment and construction of the Canol Pipeline Project, around 1943.
