Some of the locations and people include general store, Chevigny livery, Chapelle du Seminaire St. Albert, Father Larose, men in WWI uniforms, and a hockey team. Photographs also include portraits of Chevigny family members, Olivine St. Louis (née Chevigny) and family, Melina and George Sarrasin and family, Ringuette family, Livia Caouette, Isabel and Simon Hahnenberg, Matilda Bourassa, Hermine Paré, and Clovis Arcand.

Fonds consists of the administrative and research materials created, accumulated, and used by the Starting Anew Management Committee during their activities creating the Starting Anew project collecting stories about and by immigrants to Canada.

The fonds includes both oral history interviews and written submissions from community members who immigrated in the second or third wave of immigration to the Central Alberta area. The project involved approximately 75 to 100 participants coming from other parts of Canada and 25 different countries. The fonds also includes promotional material, administrative material, information sheets and general notes. The types of records include minutes, planning related documents, transcripts, photographs, audio interviews, and video recordings.
