A. R. Cable is a long-time resident of Edmonton who worked for the City Telephone company until his retirement. He was the son of Harry C. Cable who worked for International Harvester before opening Cable's Grocery on Whyte Avenue.
A. R. Cable donated his father's material.
Scope and content
There are 32 copies of Cassell's Popular Educator and a collection of postcards of assorted scenes of Alberta and Great Britain around World War II era.
Immediate source of acquisition
The fonds was donated to the City of Edmonton Archives in 1993 by A. R. Cable.
