Biographical history

Educator, architect, ca. 1950- . Eric (Rick) Haldenby received his Bachelor of Environmental Studies in 1973 from the University of Waterloo and his Bachelor of Architecture in 1975, also from the University of Waterloo. In 1976, he was the founding director of the University of Waterloo Rome Programme, a programme where fourth year architecture students at the university were exposed to classical Roman architecture. In 1988, he was named Associate Professor and Director of the University of Waterloo's School of Architecture. Haldenby has published several journal articles and contributed architectural drawings and plans included in former University of Alberta classics professor A. H. Small et al's <i>The Excavations of San Giovanni di Ruoti: Vol. 1 The Villas and their Environment</i> (1994).

The fonds consists of materials created by Rick Haldenby between 1982 and ca. 1994. The fonds consists of this series: San Giovanni Di Ruoti (1982- ca. 1994) The series consists of architectural drawings and photographs relating to the excavation site at San Giovanni Di Ruoti and used in the book on the site written by A. H. Small et al.
