Biographical history
In 1966, Ron Holway purchased an option from the Yukon Consolidated Gold Company (Y.C.D.C.) to dismantle two miles of the Ballarat Creek redwood pipe section of the Yukon Ditch. The wood was to be used by the Cassiar Asbestos Company as subflooring. A 17-mile access road was built to gain access to the pipe section and Holway hired a crew to assist with dismantling and transporting the pipe sections.
Custodial history
