The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod parochial school, Saint Timothy's, was opened in September of 1985 for grades 1 through 8. The Kennedy Heights Elementary School was purchased for their classrooms. A "Friends of Saint Timothy's" group was started to assist in supporting the school and the group opened a thrift shop for fund raising. The school building also served as the home for St. Luke's Church, Surrey. By September of 1986 they had added grades 9 through 11. The school was accredited in 1987 and in that year it also offered an ESL program for two foreign students. The school became part of the Lutheran Church-Canada in 1988. Grade 12 was finally added in 1988-89. The school was relocated after Christmas of that year and eventually shrank in size, returning to teaching just grades 8 to 10 before closing the doors in 1993.

The records were deposited with the Lutheran Historical Institute by the school, pastor and Parish Services Department of the Alberta British Columbia District of Lutheran Church-Canada.

The fonds consists of the Constitution and Incorporation Certificate of Lutheran School Association of British Columbia (1985); minutes and notes of meetings (1992-93); scrapbook (photos in picture section Box P#23); correspondences - principal's notes (1989-92); orientation day information (1985); newsletters (1985, 1991, 1992-93); letterhead; news releases; clipping, dedication service bulletin (1985); closing (1995).
