Biographical history

Tomer J. Hileman, 1882-1945, was born and educated in Marienville, Pennsylvania, USA [or possibly Manor, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania]. He worked for a time in Chicago and then moved to Colorado where he began his photography career. He moved to Kalispell, Montana in 1911, and married Alice Georgsen in 1913. He was appointed official photographer for the Great Northern Railway in 1924 and took photos of Glacier National Park and Waterton Lakes National Park where the railway built the Prince of Wales Hotel, Waterton, Alberta. He also photographed the Blood and Peigan (likely in Montana).
