David Ferguson contacted Parks Canada regarding the historical context of some locations in his grandmother's photo album of Jasper National Park in the year 1917. He was put in touch with the Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives, and made arrangements to donate a CD-ROM of scanned images of the 1917 vacation of his grandparents during his summer vacation in 2005.

The fonds consists of 1 CD-ROM with scanned images of photographs taken by Stambury [Ryrie] Tarr and his wife, Alice Louisa (McKechnie) Tarr during a trip to Jasper National Park in 1917. The Tarrs traveled from Winnepeg, Manitoba to Vancouver, B.C. for their vacation. These pictures have been included with the Jasper images. The Jasper images are around the Jasper Park Lodge, Internment Camp, Maligne Canyon, and Athabasca River areas.
