History

The Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies is a trail riding organization based at Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was established in 1923 with the support of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The first ride was held in 1924 and annual summer trail rides and pow-wows attracted fifteen hundred members by 1929. Canadian Pacific Railway support officially ended in 1961. The Trail Riders continues to sponsor rides today
