Histoire administrative
Coronation Presbytery of The United Church of Canada was established in 1952 upon the amalgamation of Camrose Presbytery and Stettler Presbytery. Coronation Presbytery is situated in Alberta and Northwest Conference. The bounds of presbytery include pastoral charges in the vicinity of central Alberta; and changes over time are documented in the year books published by The United Church of Canada. The court of presbytery includes ordained and lay members, as well as any corresponding members as prescribed in The Manual of The United Church of Canada. The officers include a chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and various standing committees. As with all United Church presbyteries, Coronation Presbytery is responsible for: the oversight of pastoral charges and the promotion of religious life within its bound; receiving and transmitting petitions and appeals; dealing with matters sent down by a higher court, the constitution of an executive to continue the work of the presbytery between meetings; the election of lay members to the Conference; the submission of an annual report and minutes to the Conference; any special appointments; the receipt of reports from lay organizations; assessments from pastoral charges for providing for the work of presbytery; requests involving real property within its bounds; amalgamations, closures, re-alignments of pastoral charges and congregations; receiving petitions involving incorporation; appointment of ministry personnel and candidates for ministry; oversight of the pastoral relationship and of ministry personnel on its roll; and the review of pastoral charge and congregation records.

Histoire administrative
Camrose Presbytery was established in 1925 upon the creation of The United Church of Canada, a union of The Methodist Church, The Presbyterian Church in Canada, and The Congregational Churches of Canada. Camrose Presbytery was situated in Alberta Conference. The bounds of presbytery included pastoral charges in the vicinity of Camrose, Alberta; and changes over time are documented in the year books published by The United Church of Canada. In 1952, Camrose Presbytery amalgamated with Stettler Presbytery to form Coronation Presbytery. The court of presbytery included ordained and lay members, as well as any corresponding members as prescribed in The Manual of The United Church of Canada. The officers included a chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and various standing committees. As with all United Church presbyteries, Camrose Presbytery was responsible for: the oversight of pastoral charges and the promotion of religious life within its bound; receiving and transmitting petitions and appeals; dealing with matters sent down by a higher court, the constitution of an executive to continue the work of the presbytery between meetings; the election of lay members to the Conference; the submission of an annual report and minutes to the Conference; any special appointments; the receipt of reports from lay organizations; assessments from pastoral charges for providing for the work of presbytery; requests involving real property within its bounds; amalgamations, closures, re-alignments of pastoral charges and congregations; receiving petitions involving incorporation; appointment of Ministry personnel and candidates for ministry; oversight of the pastoral relationship and of ministry personnel on its roll; and the review of pastoral charge and congregation records.

Historique de la conservation
These records were acquired sometime prior to 1975; however, there is no surviving record as to exactly how, when or from whom the Conference Archives came to possess the records. In 1975, the Conference entered into a permanent loan agreement with The Provincial Archives of Alberta (PAA) for the physical custody and control of the holdings of the Conference Archives and the records were relocated to the PAA in that same year. The records currently reside at the PAA.
