To communicate regularly with the alumni, the Association published a newsletter, CALUM, begun at least by June 1970, which was renamed Calgary Alumni Magazine in 1983 and ARCH in 1999. The Association has representation on the University's Board of Governors, Senate, General Faculties Council, and various councils and committees. It has been a major financial contributor the University Library, and provides funds for scholarships and research efforts on campus.
