Administrative history
The Senate of the University of Lethbridge was established in 1967. It consists of at least 63 members, representing the administration, faculty, alumni, students, non-academic staff, and members of the public. In accordance with the Universities Act of Alberta, its duty is to "inquire into any matter that might tend to enhance the usefulness of the University". It also confers honorary degrees.

The fonds consists of minutes of the Senate; records of its retreats and Senators' Day events; minutes of the Executive, Honorary Degrees, Concerns and Inquiries, and Public Communications standing committees; minutes of ad hoc committees and task forces; correspondence; subject files; and records related to the office of the Chancellor.
