Wild Horse School District No. 2896 was established on SE 16-5-11-W4, south of Foremost, Alberta, on February 25, 1913. By Second World War the school was closed due to depopulation of the area. The schoolhouse was subsequently moved into Foremost and used by the Foremost School Division No. 3 for classes.
