Biographical history
William G. Hamilton came to the Yukon in 1942 as a teller for the Canadian Bank of Commerce in Whitehorse. He joined the White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) River Division and became the first manager of the White Pass Ocean Division. He was also a Councillor on the first Whitehorse City Council. In 1947 Hamilton married Alma Caddy of Whitehorse.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of ten original photographs of the Canadian Bank of Commerce in Whitehorse, Yukon, line-ups at the bank during the construction of the Alaska Highway, a bank branch in a Quonset hut at Johnson's Crossing, and the bank staff Christmas 1943.
