Biographical history

William John Morgan, 1887-1979, was born in Belfast, Ireland but grew up in Scotland. He came to Calgary, Alberta in 1912 and worked as a painter and decorator. He served in the 4th Field Ambulance in the First World War and afterwards became a letter carrier. Morgan was active with the union and retired in 1950. He had one daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Jane (Pettigrew).
