Biographical history

William J. Pathman was born in Chicago in 1919. In the 1940's Pathman was a civilian engineer with the Office of US Engineers in Whitehorse, working on the Canol refinery, Alaska Highway, and the Whitehorse Airport. Back in Chicago he founded his own engineering company. He lived in Whitehorse 1943-1945, then returned to Chicago and retired in Petaluma, California.

The fonds consists of photographs copied from William Pathman's originals of scenes of Yukon construction projects on which he worked. Fonds also consists of a poem, liquor and driving permits and employment cards.
