Custodial history

This material was donated to the Glenbow Archives by W.T. White in 1964. It was transferred to Yukon Archives in 1995.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of a manuscript entitled "Experiences in the Yukon" written by White in 1964. In it he recounts his experiences coming from Vancouver and Seattle to Skagway and Whitehorse, staking his claim, and working in the banks. Photographs show White, retired in Vancouver; the Bank of Commerce in Skagway after an explosion during an attempted robbery in 1902. There is also a supplement to the manuscript written by Dr. O.S. Longman.
