Administrative history
The Women's Literary Club was founded in 1906 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. The first president was Mrs. Waldock and chair of the program committee was Mrs. Williamson. Meetings were held twice a month from October to May, and membership was limited to 25. In addition to the study of literature, history, the arts and philosophy, dramas were produced by members, and original works read at meetings. The club was in existence at least until 1967.
