In fulfilling this mandate, the Yukon Archives acquires material from all types of records creators, including government (territorial and municipal), First Nations, corporate, and private sources. Our holdings represent records related to events, experiences, and cultures unique to the North, including: the Klondike Gold Rush, the construction of the Alaska Highway and Canol project, the White Pass & Yukon Route, the North West Mounted Police, Beaufort Sea Development, and northern First Nations.
