Biographical history
The Yukon Klondike Defence Force was formed in 1966 through the efforts of White Pass employee Roy Minter. The purpose of the organization was to criticize Edmonton's use of the Klondike theme, which was impeding Yukon's attempts to build a strong tourist industry based on its historical development.

The fonds consists of: corporate records (including correspondence, press releases, speeches and reports); photographs showing Edmonton's Klondike Days in 1966; two posters entitled "Buy Yukon Victory Bonds" and "Yukon Klondike Defence Force"; and two reel-to-reel tapes (a copy of an Edmonton television show about the Yukon Klondike Defence Force, and a "Bound Rally Tape" for Don Taylor, apparently recorded by the CBC).
